A never worn SD 2008...

I guess a service would be badly needed? Since it runs well - will a service be more expensive if I decide to wear it for a couple of months more?

IMHO, service only required if:

1. Power reserve below advertised.
2. Running fast/slow.
3. Beat amplitude way below 270deg.

Wait, is it never worn or worn? The title doesn't match the content.

I disagree.
If the watch has not run the lubricant is dry, even if it runs well this will result in excessive wear and ultimately a more expensive service.

Get it cleaned and lubricated and some new gaskets.

My 2004 16600 just got its first service this year, and only because I was bored. Just wear it.

My M serial 16610 hasn't been serviced, but it's been running... maybe wear it for a bit and see how it does. Otherwise, listen to Bas
