Would you flip a SubC and BLNR for a BLRO?

Obviously some money would have to flow towards the BLRO too, but would you?

The idea has been festering in my mind.

I'd flip those two for the BLRO, as long as the out of pocket $ was reasonable.

Does white gold mean that much to you? I wouldn't do it, but I haven't gotten the PM craving yet...

I'm not a PM guy, but I can understand why some are
Saw a BLRO in the wild a couple of weeks ago
Looked great
WG has a different look than steel

Would be a decent move if you're trying to reduce the number of watches

That said, my favorite of the GMTs is the BLNR
Love the shade of blue on the bezel

I would not as I could never use a PM for every day. That's my own value system. YRMV

If you have at least one other Rolex SS watch, yes.
I would not go for BLRO being a one watch watch.
I would miss Rolex SS for certain activities and sporty occasions
and days I am more casual and want sometime more light weight.

If I did this, the BLRO would be my only watch. I've only ever seen pics of one. Never seen it in real life. I like the Pepsi besel, but can't stand the 5 digit bracelets.

I would, and as I use my YG as a daily quite often, I'd have that as a one and only.

Not really, the fact that WG will brown over time and need to be replated with rhodium to stay shiny is a real turn off for me.

I did something similar for a smurf and slowly building up the collection again. When I get bored I think about trading it in for a few SS pieces and cash by nonce you wear PM it's very hard to go back lol. It's a win win my friend :)

I personally wouldn't, you'd be giving up two great watches for one, plus I like the blue bezel on the BLNR better than the red for everyday wear.

I would for sure. If this is your first PM piece, you will be stepping onto a very slippery slope though .

I would do this trade in a second if the BLRO is singing to you. I don't own a WG watch, but the BLRO is singing very loud right now!

If you love the BLRO then do it. But if you loved it that much, you probably would not be asking us.

BLRO is polarizing as old timers who like the 5 digit Pepsis tend not to like the ceramic or the colors or the fact that it is gold. I personally love it but I never owned the 5 digit model.

SO if you love it, go for it. If you prefer the vintage model try to locate one that will make you happy.

I don't believe I would! I don't think I would get that much pleasure out of white gold. It is a shame you couldn't tolerate the 5 digit bracelet part of the time. You could probably have a nice 5 digit pepsi for the the extra money you would have to throw in.

Absolutely, I like the piece much, much better!!! The BLRO is elegant; the others are brutish, imho.

Rolex white gold is not rhodium-plated.

Your comment does not apply. Rolex white gold is solid gold through and through, and has NO plating.
