rolex datejust 41 losing 2 minutes a day

I recently bought my first rolex at 17 (ik it might seem too young but I legit have passion for watches) a pre owned rolex datejust 41 and I have noticed that it has been losing about 2 minutes a day I don't have problem with the service price my only problem is losing my watch for 6 weeks it is after all my only rolex. I dont even mind adjusting the time every day my only concern is the rolex stopping completely I just wanted to know how likely that is to happen.

Well it will stop when the mainspring runs out of power.

Give it 40 full turns of the crown and observe it for a day using a reliable time source to check the performance.

You're probably not winding it up properly as most people who don't fully understand Automatic watches tend to shake them and set them.. not the way to go. Wind it 75 times if it's coming from no power at all.

Who did you buy it from? It should be under warranty so there shouldn't be a service price other than shipping. Do you have the Rolex warranty card?

2 minutes a day is way out of spec. I would get it fixed.

Give it a good manual wind...40 turns of the crown or so and see what happens.

Also...have you contacted the seller with your concerns?

It is 4 years it works perfectly if not for the 2 min thing and my only concern is for it to break down and completely stop working

Buy a second watch and service this one. Maybe a Tudor Black Bay as a sports watch. Get it serviced.

Still a baby. If it's consistent 2 mins every day than yea, make sure it's fully wound like other said or may need to have it regulated. Hard to tell if anything is wrong without at least putting it on timegrapher, which can be had for 100-150 bucks on amazon. Worth a shot bring in it to rolex service center if there is one nearby to have it regulated. I did this before with wife's dj and they did it within an hour while I waited. I doubt 4 years old rolex is need of service, but obviously can't tell without even looking at it. IMHO if it's consistent in how much it looses each day and during the course of the day things may not be too bad.

How is a Datejust 41 four years old? Did you mean a Datejust II?
