An Unexpected Invitation

So this arrived in the post this morning, entirely out of the blue, I thought all the "Basel 2017" events were well and truly done by now. Also the vast majority of the events previously were done in stores whereas they have booked "The Shard" for this so it'll be something special (a famous building in London for those of you in other countries who may be wondering what on earth The Shard is ).

The good thing is that now all the models are released I'll hopefully be able to see some live ones rather than the dummies. Looking forward to seeing the Tudor range as much as the Rolex too, but getting concerned for my bank balance well in advance!

Anyway, anyone else received this today?

Omega did the same thing for their new models announced at Basil World. It's a nice thing , both to spread the word on new models and to show some love for customers.

Very cool. Like to see the AD's taking care of customers. My AD recently did an event with Nomos at a great little place right next door to the shop. Awesome food from an awesome chef.

It should be a fun evening! I would want to try on the skydweller! What are you interested in seeing?

I went to a Tudor event in July and have been invited to the Rolex event in a few weeks time.

Fantastic venue, should be a excellent event and plenty of opportunity for some city view wrist shots.

That looks like a lovely setup! I'm sure Rolex will treat us equally as well.

Same as you, I'm looking forward to the various Skydweller models as I haven't seen them yet. Come to think of it I haven't tried a Seadweller yet either. Also is it too much to hope for that there may be a SS Daytona or two flying about on the night for purchase?

Very cool, enjoy! And take lots of wrist shots so that we can experience it vicariously through you, haha.

Sounds great. Even if you can't buy a watch, you can enjoy the food, drink and view. Enjoy it!
