Tudor Black Bay Black

Hi all,

Just wondering what the leather strap is like on the Black Bay Black? Does it wear well? Is it comfortable?

The recent thread has sparked my interest in the ETA version but there only seem to be leather strap versions around now as new.

I blame you lot for being enablers :)

I have the bracelet BBBlack ETA and currently have it on a 22mm aftermarket leather strap and deployant with a 7.5" round wrist.

It is absolutely perfect. I wear it to work with rolled up sleeves and it fits the overall look and casual feel.

Granted, it is a little on the bigger side for me, but for the price point, it's bang on.
This is coming from a 5 digit ref lover.

I just traded my excellent condition Black Bay Black ETA version on bracelet with full kit to David SW towards a Rolex. If you're looking for one I'd contact him. It probably won't last.

I'm in the UK so the import tax etc would kill the deal I think.

I've got the black ETA that came on leather. I really like the Tudor leather strap, I think it wears well and suits the watch. I wore it on leather in winter and switched to NATO for summer.

I recently acquired the RubberB for the Black Bay and conveniently the RubberB takes the deployant clasp from the Tudor leather strap.

Sorry - no photos on leather as it's currently on RubberB. Obviously.

It looks great, it's the gold I think that sets it off and makes it look a bit different

I've no idea what a good price for these are now on leather, they appear to be about £2300 unused.

I have the aged leather on the latest black bay

Love the strap, best leather strap I own. Brilliant clasp. Smooth solid mechanism, very comfortable, perfectly balanced. Clasp sits smack bang in centre of wrist.

Prefer it over my JLC moon phase and my omega FOIS

I like the OEM leather strap but prefer the OEM fabric. And best of all for me is the RubberB which I, like Benjo, recently acquired. I chose the dual color Black and Tan, which I think works really well.

I have mine on the nato strap that comes with it. I find it more comfortable than the leather

Thanks for all your responses.

Anyone who comes across one at a reasonable price please let me know, in the EU preferably.

The supplied leather strap is just ok imo. The deployant clasp is awesome though and as long as you get 22/18 tapered straps, you can put it on any leather strap you want.

Although mine is also the leather strap version, I agree, and mines been on the Tudor fabric strap from day 1, very comfy.

Glad I bought the leather one though, because I suspect a RubberB will be heading my way soon to try.

Tudor Black Bay Black

It is nice in leather. The more you wear it the better it gets. It is a little stiff out if the box. My only gripe is the clasp does not center on the bottom of my wrist.
