16710 help
Looking at a 16710 A serial with Coke bezel. Complete package, box, original papers, booklets hang tag, serviced in 2014 by RSC Dallas and has the card. I believe it was a one owner watch. Dealer is willing to toss in a Pepsi bezel as part of the deal. The pricing on these is kind of all over the board...asking 7250? Seem likes a good deal to me, thoughts? Appreciate the input.

16710 help
Decent price for a 16710 full set that's had a fairly recent service. The main factor for me would be condition. A few pics would help.

16710 help
Not sure if it's from the camera angle but those crown guards look a bit rounded? The rest of the case looks decent though. Lots of meat on the lugs. Nice "Swiss"-only dial which corresponds correctly to the serial number. I'd say it's a good overall buy.

Price is fair.
With recent service, I believe that the price is more than fair. I'll definitely consider to buy the watch.

Couple more. The lighting shows true wear as opposed to a lot of pics that don't show the fine swirls.

The crown guards are a bit too rounded for my liking....lugs are ok..nothing terrible there. It is a full set though,I think is priced right more or less for the market now. I do like the Swiss only dial.

16710 help
It looks like the spring bars are poking thru the lugs holes. Might be due to some less than stellar polishing.

Crown guards look way over-polished. Below are some alternate examples.

I agree with the others here: seems over polished.

Could be something simple like slightly longer spring-bars watch looks fine to me.

No expert myself ,but looks like its had a couple of polishes . But as usual there's always a trade off ,and in this case its a full set , recent service & extra insert thrown in against some slight possible over polishing . For me its a case of do you want the full set ,or a watch that's never been polished without the full set. Only you will know what's more important you ,as a almost NOS 16710 that's never been polished or light polishing with full set will definitely cost more . Its a difficult one and also depends on how much you want a 16710, as the prices just seem to be going up & up. So in my opinion today is always the best day to buy, as in say 6-12-18 months prices will most probably be 10-15% higher than today. Good luck in your choice

Thanks for the replies, I should have a couple additional photos today. I am looking for a clean example, lineage is important but not a must. Looking for a nice watch to wear on a semi frequent basis, I don't want a 16710 that's a safe queen that I'm afraid to wear.

Pricing for the older stuff is all over the board and all logic needs to be tossed out the window.

Think you could do much better at that price point. Case and bracelet are over polished.

As has been said in other threads this model is popular.
Prices have been going up, the good ones a snapped up and there are not so many around. That price looks ok but you might ge a better deal if you wait or you may not. Without holding that watch and having a close look at it myself I an not sure what I would do. Is the dealer tossing in a bezel assembly or a bezel insert? If in doubt - pass. Others will come up.

I've seen some better condition/a little newer (with the ever popular SEL/lug hole combination) in the high 7's. I think if I was after this model, I would rather toss in a little more cash for one of those.

Using Bobswatches as a gage but he has a sell price of only 5,000 on these and buy price of 7,xxx+. Are dealers really only paying 5,000 for these and marking them up that much? I know there has been a steady increase on these but I figured the sell price was going up too.
