Rolex Daytona all Gold & Green Dial 116508 discount
Anyone know what kinda discounts this watch is getting in ADs?
Last time I bought a watch, it was 23% off my two tone blusey sub when I wen to my dealer 4 years ago. This time when I tried to go ask for the price of the green dial all gold daytona, I was told I could only get 5% off. I was completely shocked. At first, my sales told me -Rolex got a lot more strict now on the ADs with giving good discounts since this year. - the 116508 is hard to get, not in stock, and is in demand and back logged for orders So I went to another AD referred by my sales rep in the original store, they were willing to offer me 15% off and no tax. Anyone know whats the actual deal you can get on this specific model? I know a few years ago, full precious metals are at least 25% off. |

That is a Daytona. FWIW I think 15% off CAD and no tax is a good deal that I would take. I believe that Daytona is a fairly recent release. Jomashop has that watch for 18% off USA prices at 28.5k

I only thing I can really think of is rolex got stricter to their dealers and this watch is hard to get at the moment. My buddy just bought a two tone datejust for his lady this year in march and got 23% off... so for the same dealer to tell me 5% when they know I bought from them before is shocking. |

That sounds like a good deal to me.
A discount is not watch specific but more likely individual to each dealer. They give what they want to whoever they want within reason. There are some basic rules, such as greater discounts are typically available on pm pieces and you have more chance of biting your own derrière than getting a discount on an SS Daytona.

Rolex doesn't own the AD's. More nonsense about Rolex dictating discounts, I just don't buy it. Many TS here discount 25% on BNIB PM pieces. These watches all originate from various AD's. What does that tell you? Time to shop at another AD or go the TS route. The PM watch market is very soft, these pieces don't fly out the door like stainless Daytonas.

This green dial model only comes in full yellow gold. If it was any other precious metal or a different all gold daytona, I would definitely not buy it if it was less than 25% off. The dealer told me they sold 5 of them and 3 customers are still waiting for them to come in and it could take minimum 3 months. I may have been able to get any other Daytona from the dealer all gold for 20-25% off but this specific model was only 5%. |
