FS: Rolex Ref. 1500 Date from 1970 with Papers & US Military History - Reduced Price!

For Sale:
Vintage Rolex 1500 Oyster Perpetual Date. Serial number 2.3 million was purchased new in November 1970 by a member of the US Military during the Vietnam War. A genuine Rolex service replacement dial and bracelet were installed in the early 1980's.

Condition:
Condition is “excellent”, approximately 88% according to the TimeZone guidelines. It's a clean watch but does have many small nicks and dings as shown in photos. Watch is functioning properly in all regards and keeps good time but I have no idea when it was last serviced. Bracelet has 12 links total which I believe is 1 link short from being "fully linked".

Accessories:
Includes chronometer certificate, chronometer explanation paper, booklet with warranty info on the final page, and document holder.
