the tt is okay. i cannot ever like the rose gold. not sure why they went this direction with it.

i think rootbeer to me screams tt with a super jubilee.

Exactly. Two tones, especially rose gold needs to be seen in the flesh to get a good idea of the aesthetics.

RG is one precious metal that GMTs never had before. Brown color for a ceramic bezel was made for the Platona so that’s not new in and of itself.

That looks absolutely nothing like the catalog pics. Looks like a Coke bezel with RG numbers.

Though I wouldn't have worn one personally, I always liked the original "root beer" due to its relative rarity and retro look. However, I preferred it with the more muted yellow gold. Rose gold for bulky sports watches is too trendy to know if the style will endure and I prefer relegating it to dressier watches, on leather straps.

Would have been a better replacement for the green dial YG version.

I miss how the older style has the green text and lettering. Mono color black bezel was also nice. If you had to decide which would you get... “old” or new style TT? Are we going to see older style discounted?

I have a 1970 rootbeer that I cherish. I was hoping for the new version. Black dial looks weird. Rolex makes such a beautiful chocolate dial... why do they do these things? And it NEEDS to be on a TT Jubilee. Again, they have a rose TT on the DJ41. Why not just use it?

Need to see it in the flesh but I like it, I think it's better than the ceramic BLRO.
I like the contrast between the black and everose, like the 116655 yachtmaster the black tones down the everose gold slightly.
Could be very tempted on this one.

It's odd to me. I spoke with two ADs in the past week, both said the the previous rootbeer was a terrible seller. This one is not for me.

I got excited when I initially saw it but id rather have the TT YM with chocolate dial for the same price point.
