I’m thinking...blue
...for my next watch.
I’m not looking for it to be dressy since that base is covered to some extent by the Explorer, OP39 Rhodium, and Nomos Tangente although they all can, and do, also serve as daily wearers. I’m looking for a true tool watch and the one that immediately comes to mind is the Tudor Pelagos Blue. I almost purchased one several years ago but was captivated by the Black Bay Blue which I bought and then sold to help finance the Explorer, thinking at the time that I would reacquire the Black Bay another time. I eventually did just that, with the Black Bay Noir. After several more acquisitions, my collection lacks a blue dial watch, and even though I own a diver, I think the Pelagos would be perfect since I’m not into PM or PCL’s. I know some members here only collect divers so possibly having two is no big deal. What do you guys think? Other suggestions are always welcomed.

It is! Light as a feather and a great bracelet. And I love that blue.

How about a HULK??!!
I know you considered a blue dial DateJust in the past, it is a sharp watch! Off topic: I see you have replaced most of the metal bracelets on your watches with rubber straps. Do you not like the feel of a metal bracelet? Cheers! |

I’ve replaced the bracelets on the Explorer and Black Bay but kept the bracelet on the OP39. I just find the rubber to be more comfortable and gives those watches a more sporty look. I’m retired so sporty and casual works for me.

When I think blue, I think of the Deepsea d-blue! Thats what I would be going for.

Didn’t want to spend that much. I should have mentioned in my original post that 4K is my limit.

Angelo, I think you’d be really pleased with the Pelagos
It’s a lot of watch for the money and it wears very comfortably. This may be next up for me as well. Oh and multiple divers is ok |

I’ll play. Not the best example of a “tool” watch. But can go anywhere do anything nonetheless.

Beautiful watch Josh, just too dressy for what I’m looking for.

Blue Pelagos is a wonderful watch, Angelo.
Maybe check out the Omega Seamaster in blue. Also fantastic. A total tool watch and you can get them for relatively small money.

Personally I find the Pelagos blue to be too bright.
If your budget is $4k, I’d be looking at the Black Bay 41mm or an Aqua Terra. |

The Pelagos is a great watch. Among other awesome features, it has the Jr Glidelock clasp, which is the next best clasp on the market (imho) to the GL. Go for it, you won’t be disappointed.
