Changing the dial? How to use Rolex travel case?
I have decided to change my TT Daytona’s dial from black to white. Black is totally cool and great, but my old eyes won’t see properly (even with glasses on!) the small numbers in the three dials.. The white dial looks great. I went to my local Rolex dealer and they said that changing the dial will cost and takes approx. two weeks.. Some people are claiming that Rolex is changing dials for free—well, that is not true...
Have you ever changed your Rolex dial? And I got my new Rolex Travel case and I am not getting this: should I put the brown leather card inside the bracelet? It so small that I feel that it is not protecting anything... I don’t know how to use it! Why there are these small wings front of the card??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm almost blind at night, the dial swap was approved for medical/vision reasons. A definite one-off and i'm very grateful. |

I love that travel case. I've never seen that case before but I'll take a guess at how it works. It's for two watches, one on each side. The middle section is for storing rings, slipped in between the two "pads". The loose piece is a cover for the watch compartment. The leather "wings" are handles for the cover, pinch them together and you can pick it up and set it down. That's my best guess. |

Have the same case. Was told it was a travel case for watches. I put the little sleeve in between the watch caseback and the bracelet.

Rolex doesn't usually change a dial for free, plus you have to buy the dial you want. At one time, in some markets, they would change the black/white dial within the firsts 90 days or so, but I have not heard of them doing that lately.
As to the "wings" on your box insert, they are the handle to pull it up with. You pinch the wings between your finger and thumb and pull it up.

Yeah, it is a double watch travel/storage case by Rolex. Ofcourse you can use for other purposes. Two watches are fitting there just perfectly. When travelling, it is very stylish for extra watches. I like it. But never used these kind of cases. For example I just found out that the green Rolex pouches: the green card inside the pouch should be put inside the bracelet! I used it the wrong way... Thanks, this is the way to use it. Have you tried if it fits to put the padding from Rolex box and then the sleeve on top of the watch? If this works, there would not be that much space in the box for the watch to move..? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I believe the card is supposed to be placed between the bracelet/clasp and caseback. It is meant for avoiding the both to collide and scratch your caseback and bracelet.

I found it too snug with the padding. The case could barely close. I actually put a folded towelette on top the watches and it keeps things snug and more protection for the watch faces. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I once inquired about changing out a dial and hands on a DJ. RSC Dallas (USA) quoted me a price of nearly $1,500. A portion of that cost was for a "service" that also had to be done.

I changed the dial on my 116505 from pink with black subdials to black with rg sub dials. I paid around 2100 because Rolex required me to do a complete service as they would. It just change dials. That was a couple years ago maybe it has changed now
