Which 2 Watch Combo?
Hi Everyone,
long story short, I am a recent Rolex convert having bought a Datejust 2, black dial fluted bezel last December. I caught the Rolex bug and put my name down for a ND Sub which I got in March. I only want a 2 watch collection but have a hankering for a BLNR (being on trf has encouraged this) Initially I thought the Datejust and Sub where the perfect 2 watch combo and maybe they are. Possibly I am just wanting what I don't have. If I was to get the BLNR either the Datejust or Sub would have to go. My question is out of the BLNR, Datejust and Sub ND which 2 would you pick as a 2 watch combo with versatility in mind? My question is |

Personally I'd get the BLNR and the Sub. The GMT is probably my favourite complication. And the Sub and be dressed up and down. And I've never really been a fan of the fluted bezel..

I’d keep the DJ2 and the BLNR. Your DJ2 is a go anywhere watch and the BLNR will give you a little splash of color.

Sub and BLNR, and then you can get another DJ sometime in the future.

Keep the DJII as it looks a lot different than either Sub or BLNR.

It would be tough for me to let go of my first Rolex...my first meant a lot to me as I had worked hard and saved to get it. The DJ and Sub are iconic Rolex watches. The BLNR is the new "Hot" watch. While I get the appeal, I would not let either one of the two watches you have to get it. Best of luck with your decision.

Wait and add the BLNR when you can afford it.

I have Sub Date 116610LN as my weekend/evening watch, and Rolex AirKing 14000M as my dressy daily office watch.

DJ and BLNR. Sub and BLNR are too similar IMO.

Here’s another vote for DJ and BLNR. A SS daily sports watch (shorts, T-shirt’s, jeans, anything!) and a DJ for slightly dressier or long sleeve occasions. Covered for life with this combo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
