Hulk 'Smashed' In First Week

Ah well, just got the Hulk last week from local AD and wore it for our Las Vegas wedding. Upon coming home and resetting the time this morning noticed the bracelet is already scratched up. It's the third link on 12 am/pm side. Think i know when this happened; right after our wedding in the limo.... Ah well, good times in Vegas.

Would say more, yet what happens in Vegas...

Worth it!

No big deal at all IMHO. As crazy as it sounds, I’d actually like this scratch if I were you. I could look at it and remember that it happened on my wedding day. I think there’s something nice and nostalgic about that.

Eventually when you get the watch serviced years down the road they’ll polish it and it will look good as new.

Congrats on the wedding!

Agreed. BTW, she's now the new daily beater 24/7/365 (was SkyD blue) and never baby them ever. Love the durability and OMG that green dial personality of the Hulk is incredible!

Hmmm, i might opt for NOT to polish. Agree, the scratches are part of... fun memories.

Congrats on the wedding!

The good thing is with brushed SS the scratches become less noticeable over time. Shame it didn't happen to the 4th removable link though. Either way a Sub is tank and good for daily use

Why do you guys over exaggerate when you get a slight ding on your watches its a tiny scratch easily remedied at normal routine service.

You make a good point, but I bet it stings a little more when your watch is only a few days from the stickers

Ouch!

Although scratches (I have a couple) sometimes go with good memories, that really stinks when it's so brand new. The good news is it's an easy fix if you are so inclined. It actually looks like the entire scratch is wholly contained within the one link so if you wanted to, you could just swap the link and be brand new again.

Either way, I'm sure the memories were well worth it. Congratulations!

ETA: Whoops! Never mind. I just saw it's the third link, so not swappable. Sorry. Wear it with pride!

Thats nothing. I bet the wedding couple got more wear and tear than that watch did.

Yes adds character and you’ll be able to tell your watch apart from someone else’s...at least it happened at a memorable occasion, I’ve scratched mine before on a hoody zipper

Congrats, OP!

I'm with the team that says the scratch is worth the memories associated with it.

Although it won't disappear completely, it will dull over time and become less noticeable.

Don't let it spoil your honeymoon with the Hulk..
