Nice link, Padi, thanks. I do remember "Minerva" from my childhood days. It was considered the poor man's watch, but it did the job.

Minerva was a well respected brand in the old days, made some very good watches
and now some vintage Minerva are now quite collectable.

Good links, Padi. This is a brand I don't know. The watches seem nice. The dials are nice and clean. They remind me a bit of Oris faces.

Minerva quite a old watch company, some say the fore-runner
of the modern day chronograph.Think it was in the early 20s
they made a 17jewel Breguet balance spring column wheel mechanism think it was cal 20 or 23 cannot remember. And they had a very good name as a
movement maker of very high quality. And in the 30s they used to do all the time keeping, for the winter Olympics. Then they seemed to disappear in the 50s 60s then came back for a short time in the 70s-80s,but like many watch manufactures then, the Quartz killed quite a few off at this time, many gone but not forgotten.
