ROLEX 1500, help !

Hello everyone, this is my first post!
I am French and I do not master the language very well. Forgive my mistakes.

I just acquired a 1500 and I have a question about the serial number and model number.

The typology of the model number "1500" which lies between the horns above the 12h is not the same as that of the serial number which is located between the horns below the 6h.
Especially the " 1 " that change.

I think the size of my watch is authentic but I still find it strange. Someone would have any idea ?

Hi,

Welcome to the forum.

Do you have some pic of the dial, movement, etc.?

The comment was an expression with no meaning.

The watch case model numbers are stamped automatically when produced. The serial numbers are added at a later date when an actual production of that model is needed.

Nothing appears to be unusual with your watch. The serial number would put this watch in the mid-1960's, does that match the stamp inside the case-back?

Welcome.

The “1” is not the same font but it’s ok. Rolex has many fonts used. Probably done by 2 different persons at different time. It’s a nice looking watch and in good condition.

I blame it on autoconnect.

Thank you very much for that answer.

Yes the serial number corresponds to the year written on the caseback. 1969.

Another question ? Do not you think that the case is enormously polite?
I did not think it was possible to polish the case bottom :)
See photos.
