Contrasting Two Watches
I think it’s interesting to look at these two watches and observe the distinct differences. For me it’s the chief reason, or reasons, that I enjoy transitioning from one to the other. Let’s take a look at the Rolex GMT 16750 vs the Rolex Sea Dweller 16600. The both have 40 mm cases but from there they differ in many ways, both functionally and esthetically.
Plexi crystal Sapphire crystal Cyclops No cyclops Bi-directional bezel Unidirectional bezel Smooth turning Ratcheting Thin case Thick case for depth No HRV HRV Hollow end links Solid end links Matte dial Glossy dial No surrounds Metal surrounds Twin lock crown Triple lock crown GMT hand No GMT hand Well, did I leave anything out? I know there are many here that enjoy a vertical (I believe) collection, for example, various iterations of the Submariner. But, for me, this is the most enjoyable aspect.
