Yellow Gold Rolex Experiences???

At some point I might add one full yg Rolex into my collection.
Now thinking Daytona...
Do you have a full yg Rolex or did you own one at some point?
What do you think is the best yellow gold Rolex at the moment? Why?
Pros and cons?
Pics, please!!!

Own SS and YG. Wear SS daily and YG less often. SS weighs less than YG. YG can often be purchased at a discount because everyone wants SS sport. YG is just good looking!

I’ve owned in YG.....Daytona, Submariner, GMT, Skydweller, and DD40. The DD40 is the one that has stayed. I love the others, and wouldn’t say I’d never own one of them again, but between the size and PCL’s getting dinged/scratched (which I don’t mind in the white metal pcl’s) I just love the proportions and ability to hide the nicks/scratches better, on the DD40. I can say that I’m MUCH more wrist aware/cautious when wearing YG vs any other metal.
The size of the maxi-case is right on the edge of “too big” on my wrist, but they work ok in a white metal, but in a YG...it is pretty darn loud/noticeable. YG is flashy anyway, (I don’t mind that) but in a maxi-case, on my wrist....it screams that much more. If that makes sense. I love YG...just in a, better for me, proportional case size. YMMV

I have owned a YG sub, Daytona, YMII and GMT and all look and feel great all the time and everywhere

however since I got a Platinum Daytona I ended up keeping my WG sub and WG GMT and YG are gone. Just personal preference but the white PM metals seem to be more versitle for me

no reason not to get own and wear the heck out of an all YG piece

Thanks for your thoughts! Well said. You might become too aware with your watch... That’s so true: yg is very loud... and you have to keep the yg watch for some time to know if it works for you or not. For example yg sub was too much for me.
Daytona might work—but still maby too loud..?

BTW: Did you loose a lot money when selling your yg watches?

Never had a full YG watch, but several two tone, a solid WG, and platinum watch. YG is just a little too flashy for me. Granted, ANY Rolex is flashy, but YG is really flashy.

Rolex YG is showtime! I wear mine for special events and to feel good. However, I’m cautious where I wear it.

Always insure a YG Rolex! It is the most highly sought after form of jewelry (by the bad guys) according to my State Farm agent. Cost: 1% of appraised value.

TBH, most people don't know what it is nor it's cost. I wear mine worry free. Of course, it is insured that is just common sense!

What I find interesting is that in the Forum SS sport Rolex is what generally discussed. Rolex YG is still a very popular watch.
