PLEASE HELP AUTHENTICATE 8385 President

Hello Experts:

I purchased a Rolex 18038 from a trusted seller. Recently, another trusted seller
claimed to me that my president bracelet appears to be an "Italian aftermarket".

I contacted the original seller/Trusted Seller and he was very helpful and said it was original.

I would really appreciate some help here. I have attached pictures of the clasp
The opposite blade bears the number 03.

Thank you!!!

If this is older watch, maybe a post in the Vintage section...?

The bracelet sections (the links) could be aftermarket or genuine. Nothing in your photos indicate one way or the other.

The clasp hallmarks appear correct therefore genuine.

Below is a genuine bracelet from circa 1985 for comparison.

If I may make a suggestion, when adding photos for advice, it is nice to have large clear photos so proper comparisons can be made. May I suggest that the "fingers" be left at home and concentrate more on the subject of the inquiry!

I would recommend you place some close-up photos in the thread. Remove a screw or two and place some close-ups of the screws. Some close-ups of the end links - both top and bottom - and a photo of the inside of the end link where it fits up against the case.

Close-ups of the links and maybe some close-ups of the clasp hallmarks.

Lastly, who said the bracelet was aftermarket? Why did he say it was aftermarket - that's an important question to ask anyone calling something fake or aftermarket.

Thank you Springer. I have posted the pictures I had time to post. I was "toying" with the idea of trading my 18038 and sent pictures to the prospective buyer. His reply was that he was 60% sure the watch was an aftermarket
Italian bracelet.

The person who sold me the watch is very reputable, and said that while possible he had missed that he doubted it. He sent pictures to his experts who found the bracelet genuine. He also has his watches inspected by a rolex certified watch maker prior to sell.

I am just looking for neutral confirmation other than sending to Rolex ( ultimately that may be what is needed).

Show some screws. Take them out of the sides of the bracelet.

Show the inside of the end links with the number.

Your Photos are small too.

All appears ok clasp and endlinks therefore the like section with non removable links is original you could have a few aftermarket links. You need to remove them and show the screw and since view of the link hole

Awesome. I was wondering why the hallmark on my 1996 bark 8723 DD bracelet was different than others I had seen prior. I have a St. Bernard mark, which correlates to that thread. Good info!
