Opinions Please on This set

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...lenotsupported

Complete box and paper set. Is it period genuine? Seller has listed that the watch was just serviced so I asked as to the receipt and list of items. No receipt (detail) was available. Opinions?

I talked to the seller via text during the first auction and the set.....

is correct except for the fact the dial and hands are replacement/refinished. Bezel/insert and crystal were also replaced. He's upfront about this. He does not have the original dial and did not know it (the dial) was worth anything when he sent it in for service. I'll bet the guy who serviced the watch knew!

Thank you. He used the term "reconditioned" so I was not sure if it was the original dial or a replacement.

The band, endlinks, and box look period correct/original.

Shame about the dial/hands replaced. I would not buy it for 8k. Can get one with original dial/hands/bezel for a little more - I did.

He said the original dial was slightly faded! He knows NOW that..

he should have left it the way it was. Dial will probably end up on ebay anyway so somebody can put it back together! lol
