Rolex blue in natural light and

using a UV filter. Just trying to show the different colours of blue used in three of my watches. Not sure what, if anything, the pictures prove.

Thanks! Usually I put up a blanket behind me, but I was in a hurry. Well, I was just lazy. In the cyclops you can see the stairs going up to the second floor deck.

Joe,
Nice work. I'm a sucker for the "rolex blue" and that's a number of gradations of the cobalt / Navy blue that you captured.

Nice work Joblow.

I have to admit to warming towards the blue/gold YM.

The blue sub is a the winner though, hands down.

The blue TT YM is one you either love or hate. I have to admit that it is the only Rolex I own that looks best in dress casual and not all that well in jeans or camo. The gold bezel stands out more than the blue bezel insert.

I think the fact that you posted three pictures all in focus is worth something. I still can't do that.

I ain't very smart so what I have learned to do is this. For dial shots I place the camera exactly six inches away from the watch, use a UV filter if outside, use macro of course, and zoom in until the dial takes up the view finder. Don't even check to see if it is in focus, I just use the remote to take the picture. Sometimes due to glare I will move the watch around a bit. If I am really smart, I will hang a blanket behind me so that the cyclops does not pick up reflections. If I want to shoot, lets say, just the pearl or such, I move the camera back exactly ten inches and zoom in until the object takes up the view finder. Works for me.
