The Nickname Thread
won't last long im guessing but so far ive got...
SD 43 in TT.... "The Hasselhoff" This one needs explaining. The original SD43 had a nickname of "knight rider" it didn't stick unfortunately but hopefully some of you guys remember that short lived attempt.... so along that same theme im choosing the driver of that car and the biggest star of of the 1980's when TT was the most popular SD 43 in TT (alternative).... Shark bait Self explanatory since you can catch huge fish with less reflective lures. BLNR on Jubilee..... "Bruce Wayne" the Batman is taken and its more fancy anyway with the bracelet so this is "Bruce Wayne" since he wears a suit BLNR (alternative).... "Hipster Batman" Goes perfect with the modern sensibility of Batman who feels a need to have authentic ties to the past with a relevant and popular re-imagination of a classic bracelet of times gone by. Like the vintage flannel and sweater vests they find at charity shops. Meteorite GMT... "Space Ranger" Rolex always wanted a space history and many point to the GMT watches that astronauts wore into space unofficially as evidence of Rolex's space history. Meteorites are from space, astronauts have worn GMT's so this is "Space Ranger" Yacht-master.... well obviously this is the WGYMOF thats all i got

I know many are anti-nickname, but not I. Long live the Hasselhoff!
Also, WGYMOF isn't so bad if you read/sound it as "wiggy moff." Just my delusional 2 cents

BLNR on jubilee, ... call it Batgirl like it was suggested in that other thread.
This way it will be ignored by most and hopefully readily available!

Regarding the PM GMT BLRO, they just changed to the blue face last year. Dr Tom got his black dial replaced for free, as a result, so now with the meteorite dial, they going to do that again?
The nickname for this watch should be DejaVu |

Not a nickname, but SGSD43 (silver and gold, the Tudor way) is also a good identifier for TTSD43! (wait, the TTSD43 itself is good on its own!)
