FS: Rolex Oysterquartz 17000 Mk1 Black Dial from 1978
Up for sale is a Rolex 17000 Oysterquartz that dates to 1978. It has the Mark 1 black dial. The watch functions fine and tells time accurately. The watch is in used condition but it looks great for its age. There are dings and scratches throughout the bracelet and the crown has one turn on it only. Although its wear ready, it probably could use a service. Unfortunately, I do not know the service history of the watch. Considering its 41 years old, I think its in great condition. I priced this watch accordingly so the prospective buyer can have the watch serviced and still have a good deal.
Crystal: Looks like its in good condition. The cyclops has some marks on it. Bezel: Has no major dings but has some scratches Dial: Has some marks on it. The lume has nice patina and has aged fine. Hands: The hands have marks on them and the lume has patina on it. Case: The case is in pretty good shape but it has been polished. The bevels are smooth and there are some dings on it. The serial number and engravings on the lugs are visible. Movement: The movement has no rust marks and it looks to be in great shape but there are some marks on it as if from a screw driver. The time keeping great and I think its about +3-6 seconds a week. Crown: The crown only has one turn to screw/unscrew. Probably should be replaced. Bracelet: Can probably fit a 7 inch wrist. No extra links are included but it has a few microadjustments that can be made. Its currently sized for my 6.75 inch wrist. The bracelet has some dings and it does look like it has been polished/brushed in the past. The pin that holds one of the sides does appear to move a little and it might not be an original pin. I am asking $2800 paypal or wired, shipped insured to anywhere in CONUS. This is my first sale here. I have a 100% positive feedback (471) on ebay and have been a member since 2001 (item is listed there as well). I have been a long time member here as well. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks! |
