Can someone help me with a stall Daytona from AD
Still waiting seems like forever... aparently my dealers are telling me I don’t spend enough to get a Daytona... they are also telling me if purchasing from grey dealer the Rolex warranty is void....
I would however like to have my name on the warranty card... is this possible from grey or can somehow help me, I want both of them... I guess everyone else does too |

Sounds like your dealer is not very friendly. Probably wants you to bundle. Also the warranty comment is complete BS

Just more ridiculous nonsense.
I’d find another AD. Or contact a trusted seller here - they occasionally get unnamed Warranty cards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The warranty is not voided if buying from an AD. Having your name on the card is also not necessary to have warranty work done.

Warranty being void if you buy from a grey is BS. Your name being on the warranty card is harder. I would assume some greys might have watches from more lax ADs that backdoor to them and swipe and fill out the card when grey sells or from ADs that don't fill out name, but I say chances are low. |

Get rid of your AD. He has proven he’s untrustworthy. |

The first part of that statement is most likely true, but the second part is not. Your AD might just be playing semantics about the second part, because some gray dealers don't include a warranty/card, but they generally make that clear before purchase.

That has a brand new Daytona to sell you right now?
No.

First off I would call Rolex USA, RUSA, they are on Fifth Avenue near you. Ask if you can get warranty service on a used watch you bought still within the warranty period. That will settle that issue.
New Daytona C at retail are very hard to get. My sense is this year deliveries have slowed quite a bit due to the OF on PM line |

Getting a Daytona C from an AD these days is like asking them to hand you $10-15K for free. Not surprising that it is accordingly hard to get.

If it were that easy, Daytonas wouldn't sell for +150% retail at gray market prices.
It's virtually impossible to buy a Daytona at retail in 2019 without an absurd amount of luck, or a lot of spend history with an AD. We're talking well over $100,000 in purchases.

Watches from a grey do change to having a limited warranty. These things called Rolex come with Full Warranty period. Unless they now state limited. I’m. It in the know. But I seem to believe Rolex stands behind their product regardless of owner.

People don't realise that when the sale is registered with the card it's inputted into the rolex database. Filling the name is moot. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

It's both. I have a good relationship with my AD and got one without spending a bunch or waiting for years. My friend recently bought one from his AD after seeing mine. He sent a text to them and a day later, he was offered one. His family has spent millions there over the years and the AD apparently keeps one in the safe for those special VIP situations.
