BLNR Walk In!!

Hi guys,

I've just returned from lunch, where I had my usual browse round WoS and Mappin and Webb.

I walked in and was just having a chat with my sales rep, bear in mind all I've bought from her is a CHNR around 6 weeks ago.

I happened to mention that I had gone off the Daytona ceramic since our last chat and actually prefered the GMT BLNR or BLRO.

She said wait there...

She went off and had a chat with her manager and said....

I was waiting for someone to get back to me, but he's been unresponsive so rather than going through my list, it's here if you want it!!

I sat down, and within 15 minutes of enquiring, had paid for it!

I'm still in shock, I literally can't believe how lucky I've been...

Anyway, thought I'd share to let people know there is still hope for some of us not looking to do massive bundle or PM deals.

Pics to come later!

!
Walk in win!! Well done

However I did laugh at your statement above..
All?... it’s a £10,000 purchase ! Not like a £50 Casio

That would give you cred with the store. I would have been surprised if you walked in with no relationship. But with a TT just 6 weeks ago, and you going in there asking to spend more, you sound like you would be a very good future customer.
I believe she believed it would be worth investing in you (so to speak); i believe you will give them all your business going forward so it works for them

Thanks guys.

Do you think it's a bit much to buy the SA a gift in a way of saying thank you? I know, it's strange to think to say "Thank you for letting me buy a £7000 watch", but she didn't have to sell it to me?

Congrats on getting such a sort after watch.

I'm just curious did they give you the warranty card? Cause consensus says they stopped giving it, but my friend got his warranty card with his Hulk in March from WoS.

Hi,
No, they are keeping the card. I'm not bothered as I'm not looking to flip, but she did say it was standard practice.

She also mentioned that WoS/M&W/Goldsmiths are now offering an extended additional 5 year warranty on the movement, meaning the watch is now covered for 10 years. She said it was due to the fact the group have realised they aren't giving discounts on any Rolex's anymore and would like to keep the business, so it's their little way of giving something back.

I heard already about the extra warranty but good information to know from someone who has had it explained to them following a purchase.

It also looks like the biggest chance to get hot items is from this chain/group. I guess they have so much allocation, they can choose who to sell to. With a smaller shop, they don't get the quantity of stock to really be able to choose.

Make sure you get the SA telephone number, in case she goes to another shop/brand!

Wow, we won't be hearing a story like this for a while!
Congrats for sure!

I would say this leads me to believe that there are no lists. For if there was this watch wouldn't be sitting there, it would have gone to the guy at the top of the list. They were holding it in the back for the right time and right person. Which obviously was you.
