Help!
Hey I’ve just bought a DateJust 36 black, thinking I’m buying the latest model, but it turns out when checking the serial nr, that the watch was manufactured in 1988??? But it was absolutely new, with the stickers on it etc. How can this be? It’s not a second hand watch, yet it was manufactured in 1988.
Please can someone help me understand? I’m new to the Rolex world. Thanks a lot!! |

There’s an error. Don’t panic. Talk to the authorized Rolex dealer you bought it from.

are you sure you're not mistaking a random serial number for a 1988 one just because of the first letter?
