16570 opinion on lugs
Guys, looking for some opinions on these lugs. They look pretty thick and healthy to me but the original chamfer doesn’t appear to be intact. The watch is approx 20 yrs old and has been polished
Rolex tell me they can correct this with a factory polish back to original specs if I want Do they look decent to you? |

I am not sure what your question is. Are you concerned the watch is not authentic?
Here is a picture of my watch to compare. My watch is a 1995, S serial, so should be similar. |

) Photos are bad
) Lugs look healthy ) Chamfer edges have been softened ) I wouldn't let Rolex even come close to that watch unless you want the lugs ground down ) Send to LAWW, Rolliworks, Rik, etc ………….

Chamfers can be restored, but it will look like they've been restored.

Yes it functions and has been serviced.
To me it looks good, I’m just still learning on these more minutia details, about what to look for and what looks correct for the model and period, so thanks to everyone for helping out |

You would have to go back another decade or two to find the larger chamfers of a bygone era.

If done improperly. You see a lot of the restored watches with the incorrect chamfer. Lot's of them have the fat chamfer from the 4-digit days. There's people out there who do them right and you can barely tell it's been done.
