World Time 5130G on Rubber?
Gentlepeople,
Has anybody put an aquanaut rubber strap on another Patek model? I have my 5130G, currently on a rubber rally strap made by Zenith (for the El Primmer Model), which actually looks great... actually looks better than on the leather. But I was wondering in the Aquanaut strap might fit it as well (21mm lugs). Anybody know? Feel free to bash the idea as well if it offends your Patek sensibilities... haha. I just think it would look cool. All the best |

Aqua strap has weird metal pins you’d need to cut off assuming all else fit. Would love to see this if you pursue.

Sadly, it’s at PP for servicing at the moment. And not due back until January (note: I took it to the AD in June and the quoted 6 months lead time). But I’ll post a pic when it comes back.

Where did you purchase the rubber rally strap? And did you use the Patek gold deployant or a Zenith buckle of some sort? I have a 5130R and would love to do something to it to add a bit more modernity :) |

I use the gold Patek deployant (though I note that I have older 5130 deployant pin buckle that came with my model vs the Patek logo deployant on the later models). Anyway, I got the strap directly from my Zenith AD when I had the El Primero 36,000. When I sold the Zenith, the buyer didn’t want the strap. My good fortune. Alas, I still have the strap and buckles are easy to find. Here is a picture of the strap (with a generic buckle) on my expy2, which also has 21mm lugs and a side by side of the expy2 with the 5130 - in case it helps with visualizing.
