Dillema..

I recently purchased a 5168G (blue dial) which I think is the perfect size. Blue is one of my favorite colors so when I received the call, it was a no brainer.

I haven't had the time to go to Patek to have it sized and I just received a call that a 5270G might become available.

If I keep both, I'm going to have a very expensive holiday season for the wife Not that it's out of the question but thinking out loud.

So.. I know they are worlds apart, considering a decent AP collection ROO and RO, Rolex DDII and SSDD 43, among others.. would it be wise to keep the 5168 or go for the 5270?

+1 on the 5270

I suppose it’s a personal taste issue. Which style would you be able e joy more on a daily basis?

Of course you can own and enjoy both a 5168 and a 5270. They are totally different watches, to be worn for different occasions. The Aquanaut has a rubber strap and is automatic. The 5270 is a complicated dress watch on leather straps and is manual wind.

Is the 5270 new or pre owned? Either way I’d sell the aquanaut and make some money and put it towards the 5270. I like the blue aquanaut but it’s not a 40K watch in my opinion.

Pretty soon steve just going to close the Patek section lol save himself and the mods a lot of time.

Alex I would probably pass on the 5270 as nice as it is.

Keep 5168G and buy your Rolexes and APs.
The 5270 will become available more or less anytime you request for it.

Isn't the 5270G discontinued? Or is it new old-stock?

You've got a lot of sports watches in your collection, so adding the 5270G would mix things up. If it was me, I'd sell some of the other pieces and keep the 5168G and get the 5270G.

Interesting take on the perpetual.

I’m leaning toward keeping the acquanaut since I love the size and the dial color.

I'd take the blue 5270 if you are not 100% on the Aqua.

According to me somebody needs to get a life. What’s the obsession with Karl about? You sound like some jilted lover and I doubt Karl even knows who you are or cares other than the fact that you’re stalking him. Give it a rest.
