Looking at Trading my Pepsi Jubilee for a White Non Ceramic Daytona
Wanted to hear your thoughts on this. I have a Pepsi Jubille (worn like 3 times) and wanted to trade for a White Daytona complete Non Ceramic. Do you guys think this is a good trade . I have too many black watches and would like white one . Pepsi is dated 04/20/2019

I prefer the BLRO if it is a non-ceramic white dial Daytona (simply based on the color combination... I prefer the 116520 with a black dial). |

Condition is very important on the Daytona since my Pepsi is pretty much new. I would expect the Daytona to be 2009 or newer complete and in excellent shape

You may find a willing person but I would not trade my 116520 for your watch

Market value wise they’re pretty similar so it’s just a personal preference at this point. Might be easier to sell the watch and buy the Daytona than looking for a straight trade. I’d at least look for a complete set with the newer clasp.
I made a similar move trading my blnr+cash for the Daytona and I don’t regret it. I had a sub date and blnr and they were too similar. If you have other ceramic sport models in your collection I’d say go for it to get some variety.

I usually never advise to trade a watch. But if you got lucky and purchased the new pepsi at retail, then make the trade if you must. Most people aren't as lucky as you that their watch went up by 80% overnight. My real advice is to keep the pepsi and buy the daytona when you can afford it. I promise, you will be posting a year from now with sellers remorse. |

Made this exact same trade. 2015 full set Daytona 116520 white dial for my 2019 Pepsi. Couldn’t be happier getting back into a non ceramic Daytona.
Here’s how I look at it....I like the Daytona and missed the one I previously had. Pepsi is a lot of hype and daytona retailed at $12,400 in 2015, vs the $9200 Pepsi in 2018+. Pound for pound there’s a bigger market for the Pepsi right now so I would say it’s more liquid, but when the dust settles my preference is to be in a Daytona rather than a GMT. Strong example Daytona’s towards end of production (new clasp chromalight)are going around $18k while Pepsi’s have kind of leveled off around 16.5-17. I have a 1675 example that I like to wear so this is all personal preference as to why I wasn’t interested in having the new jubilee for the long haul. Also, I am not scared of wearing the Daytona and scratching it up since it had been gently worn before. Don’t think you lose here other way. Which watch will you wear more? Are you open to selling privately and adding a ceramic daytona? price wise could be somewhat similar with 2k or less on top to acquire mint condition C Daytona? |

Nah.
I had that Daytona. It has presence but no date, is harder to read, and the chrono isn't as useful as a GMT function. Plus those fading bezels are annoying after a while. |

I would do it. BLRO did not do anything for me, guess jubilee really isn't my thing, after all. These though, totally different story... 13 years and counting

In the long run, the Daytona will likely be more valuable than the pepsi as the 116520 is no longer made. I had a V series Daytona but traded it for the white ceramic Daytona and have no regrets, bezel is a scratch magnet, I know this because I have a TT Daytona and fine swirls occur easy on it. Your trade is a difficult one but if you think you want the Daytona more then go for it.

Personally, I would not do it. Daytona’s have a legibility issue in a fair amount of lighting conditions. Keep the Pepsi, add a Polar.

Hopefully, you aren’t using this forum to advertise a sale you are wanting to make. I post the picture assuming you are interested in a white Daytona. Btw mine aren’t for sale. 3C5BEE5C-7AF5-4200-8D83-C3BE7CB92D4B.jpeg |
