Estimate needed

Hi all...I’m wondering what I can expect to pay to have my old 1601 regulated? Ever since it had a complete service, it consistently loses 19-20 seconds a day, and it was keeping more accurate time before the service! I don’t want to take it back to the Rolex dealer who serviced it, so I’d be taking it to a certified watchmaker whom I know and trust. I can’t get a price from him as he’s currently cruising in the Caribbean. What say ye, my faithful, and trustworthy Rolex gurus? Always appreciate your knowledge and input. You folks are awesome! Cheers!!!

I don't think anyone can guess what your watchmaker will charge you to regulate a watch that was serviced by someone else.

However, if it was actually serviced in-house by a watchmaker at a Rolex AD, I imagine that they would regulate it for you free-of-charge, and you really don't have much to lose.

Makes perfect sense! Thank you for your help!

It should still be under the Rolex service warranty.

Have you thought about taking it to another Rolex AD and having it fixed for free?

My guess is it will take an hour if there’s nothing wrong in the balance wheel or hairspring.

Now here is my best 2¢...
Take it back to the AD that serviced it. Because s/he may have damaged either of those two parts thereby causing the inaccuracy. They should stand behind their work and no charge.

If you go to a 3rd party and something costly needs replacing, the AD may say the warranty is void due to that 3rd party working on it.
