DJ 36 for wifey

What do you guys think is the way to go? We can’t decide..

116234 (hidden clasp) or 126234 new movement, thinner case ? 500$ diff for new movement

Blue diamond dial

Btw she’s a small girl and 36 is already pushing it

Get the 126234, I think it looks cleaner and more elegant.

116234 is far more suitable for someone with a smaller wrist. The bigger clasp on the new model is too overpowering and spoils the overall aesthetic. Don't worry about not having the newer movement. That's no great advantage in all honesty. Just marketing hype. Now, if the watch was for you, not the wife... I would say go for the newer model as you get the easylink. Men's wrists swell more I'm told.

Really? I heard the case is smaller on the 126234 sucks you can’t go to AD and try both on

Get her the 31MM, that way she'll be wearing the watch, not the other way around.

hidden clasp would probably be better if her wrist is small

Gotcha. I’d go for the 116234 then in this case, all personal preference of course! I just think the bracelet will wear better on a smaller wrist.

Trust me. She knows what she wants. It’s either none of them or she wants the more expensive one.

But, just tell her that she can have whatever she wants, so ask her to just tell you.

I just bought the new movement 36 DJ for my wife and she and I love it. She has a small wrist and the new clasp looks fine.

The clasp will be totally fine. My wife is 5ft 100lbs with tiny tiny wrists and her daily is a 37mm YM. The clasp is no problem. A DJ36 will look great on her. If her tastes lean more modern/sporty like my wife, I agree a 31mm is too dainty. My wife tried the smaller DJs, and they just looked old lady on her. I'm looking at getting her a DJ36 as well.

What kind of discount can one "expect" for a DJ 36 mm with a fluted WG bezel and diamond dial? If I may ask....

If 36mm is pushing it size wise....

have a look at OP Date which is 34mm.

Getting the size right is the most important thing on the long run. Have her try the OP Date.

An oyster perpetual date 34mm as mentioned above would be a good option if she thinks a 31mm is still on the small side. However the big style watch trend I see a lot of 36/37/40mm on ladies wrists coupled with diamond tennis bracelets; They look great.

My wife decided on a 34mm Date with WG bezel and diamonds on the black dial (115234) after trying on a bunch of sizes up to a 36 DateJust. seems to be a happy medium. She typically wears a 36mm Tag F1 and a 36mm JLC Master Compressor diver.

36 is meant for men to wear. Women wearing it today is just fashion because some female movie star was seen wearing a deep sea at a basket ball game.
