I’m selling a Patek Philippe ref 1578 from the early 1950s with a rare gilt dial, here are the details:

Dial: Original black cloud patina dial with applied gold hour markers and gold hands with gilt gold writing in very good condition. Note that the marks near the hour hand are in the crystal, not the dial. Black dials from this era of are uncommon for Patek Philippe.

Case: 35mm 18K yellow gold case that has developed a pleasing patina and is in excellent condition. There is an engraving on the case back that can be removed upon request.

Movement: Patek Philippe manual winding calibre 12-400 in good operating order. The watch was serviced by Patek Philippe in the past, service date is unknown.

Other: The watch will ship in a Patek Philippe service box.
