Best 1-2 punch from the same model

With everything that’s going on in the world and in our hobby maybe it’s time to as they say “Love the one you’re with”.

ROLEX shutting down. A D’s shutting down. Countries shutting down. Businesses shutting down. Who knows what’s coming next. I didn’t even do a post of another incoming in where I changed out my old 214270 for a new 214270 Mark 2 from DavidSW on Saturday.

Crazy crazy times we are all in and probably only going to get worse. Even if more inventory comes available I’m not sure I’m going to pull the trigger being I’ve picked up 2 in the last week and my collection is already quite sufficient by my standards anyway.

As far as the dynamic duo? I don’t think there’s a better 1-2 punch then the Explorer line. I absolutely love both these beauty’s. Some might go with the Submariner date and no date but for me it’s the Explorer line hands down. Btw is there another model of ROLEX that has 2 different variations of the same watch other then the Sub and Explorer? Daytona no. Datejust no. Sky D no. Sea D no. GMT? Just different dial and bezel but I guess that counts. Anyway chime in everyone.

Stay safe and healthy everyone.

I'd argue if I could Samuel....But I would pick the exact two Explorers. If I had to pick a third? I'd add the Polar Explorer II.

Explorer and Explorer II covers all the bases! Congrats on the new mk2! I've owned the mk1 and I'm on the list for a mk2. Can't wait!

I agree on the one-two punch of the explorer line -- i have both modern and vintage combos and love both!

I mean, Sea Dweller and Deep Sea are both listed on Rolex’s website under Sea Dweller(?)

Anyway, great 1-2 punch, OP!

Great replies guys.

Forgot about the Yacht Master and Sea Dweller/Deep Sea.

See that’s what I’m talking about. What a great forum of members we have. Anything else?

Thought about adding a Exp II Polar but thought that might be tad much
