Waiting on a Pepsi?
Had a jones for a Pepsi...but wanted something new and decent. I found a LNIB used Tag acquaracer and It’s my new favorite!
Might be the economy, might be the dismal outlook on everything...but I really like it and have lost my tolerance for the unobtainable. Time is short..buy one of these and save 15k, even though may have lost 40% of your 401(k) you may be ahead? Plus it has date magnifier ! |

There's no substitute for the BLRO. Sorry.

Congrats on the Tag aquaracer...if nothing else, it'll hold you over until you're able to land a BLRO. It's worth the wait

Congrats on the Tag, but a BLRO is worth waiting for too. |

Wanted a Rolex Pepsi. Bought a Tudor GMT while in the holding pattern. Now no desire to purchase a Rolex Pepsi. My Batman will be my only Rolex GMT. The Tudor is spectacular. My priorities have changed. Purchased a JC Deep Sea Deep Blue 3 weeks ago I've decided to sell. No reason. Love the watch, money isn't the issue. Just doesn't seem right to buy a $13,000 watch when I have 2 Rolex and 2 Tudors.

I love the BLRO and got the call for mine 2 weeks after picking up the Tudor GMT which definitely filled the void until my AD called.

I like that tag and have seen it in person. It was just too big for my wrist.
But it is nice. Different design language but nice |

Congratulations! That is a fantastic looking watch.
If one is really jonesing for the “Pepsi” look, Timex has an example also. I’m sure it won’t break the bank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Damn, that's a great looking watch and I'd be a lot less concerned wearing it than I would a new BLRO. I might have to look into one of these as well!

Waiting on a Pepsi?

Congrats on the AR Pepsi — I agree, it’s hot! To some, this would be the better watch because it has a more tool-like feel with its oyster bracelet. And .... it’s bezel actually is a “Pepsi” vs the unfortunate fact that Rolex has yet (whether mk1, 2 or 3) to nail the bezel colors. Don’t get me wrong, the BLRO is the much better watch (only at retail). But that Tag is still one sweet (obtainable) watch. To me, because Rolex has not nailed the bezel colors yet, the BLRO is no substitute to the BLNR. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

43mm might be too big for some with a smaller wrist (>7”). I am finding 40mm in a sub or gmt style just looks a bit too small these days. I prefer something in the 41-43 range. My sub sits in the winder most of the time.

Congrats! That bezel has the shape of a Seamaster SMP. I looked at a new Blro but it really didn't sing to me so I ended up with a Blnr. Pepsi itch still there until I found a 16710.. The itch was cured.. Enjoy!!...

Looks good on you! And a very nice watch!!
I think you took a wise decision, given the present uncertain situation, where any prognosis is mere speculation. Who knows today, if we will not need the saved money for more existential needs down the road. Also I was tired of waiting for a new Rolex (I wanted a sub date) from Bucherer (that's the AD here in Switzerland), so I went to Omega and got myself this instead: |
