Rolex 228235

Just left my AD and he offered me 39 out the door, retail with baguette dial is 43,700 and Gray market is right around there. I think I’m gonna jump on it

Discount is around 11%

Depending on your tax the discount is actually more than 11%, right?

Thanks, been lurking. I actually just purchased a YG DD36 from 2002

I’m not too big a fan of the SS models.

You got 11% discount, I think it's average discount.

It seems like a very good price because you didn't have to pay the sale tax.

Hey! Saw your post on Reddit. I think that’s a fair discount if they have to order the piece for you. What kind of deposit are they offering and what’s the timeline? I think you can squeeze them more or get a hype piece out of the safe if you’re swinging that purchase. You can always make it a safe queen as an investment if the DD is gonna get most of the wear.

It’s a big purchase. Squeeze all the angles. A PM purchase is the moment of most leverage you’ll have with an AD. Say you need a GMT to hold you over until the DD arrives.

He told me if in stock at another AD he can swing it in 2-3 weeks, if they have to order it from Geneva then 3-6 months

I’m fine waiting so I told him no rush just get me a timeline toMorrow.

They wanted 20% down

6 months is a generous loan to float the AD without them doing you a solid. I know you’re super excited about the watch and I’m pumped for you! Just trying to get you to look at the bigger picture for a second because from personal experience I left a lot of leverage on the table when I freaked out about the 21% off the gave me on my first DD40 and pulled the trigger too fast. When I got the second PM piece I got a SS watch out of the safe. If there’s anything else Rolex you’re gonna wanna do in the next 2-3 years, now’s the time to push towards making it happen. As obnoxious as it sounds, you step into a new set of rules when you pickup the PM piece from an AD. Just make sure the deposit is refundable if they haven’t delivered in the promised time.

Do this AD allow out of state person order and pay online, so they can ship to the buyer without paying sale tax?

Thanks in advance for info.

Beautiful choice! Agree with above that the discount is about what you would get with a Grey dealer.

The benefit of buying from the AD is to get good will, make sure you utilize it! That means squeezing them for a Ss Daytona, Pepsi, bargirl, hulk, etc.

Wear in good health
