Tudor for the Mrs.

All,

Starting with my 40th in May of 2019 I thought it would be fun to get each of our children their first watch. All the kids are under 10 so nothing too expensive. I will wait until they are 15 before I buy them their first Rolex. The boys each got Timex analog watches and the girls each got Flik Flak by Swatch watches.

I want to end the year of watches the way it started by getting my a Tudor. She is a one watch person and wears the Timex that I bought her years ago everyday. I would love to get her an upgrade. She is quite active with gardening, camping, and of course with our children. I want to get her something that she doesn't need to worry about and can wear anywhere. The watch will be bought new. She has mentioned that she would like something two tone.

I am looking at the following. Is there anything I am missing? I am not tied to Tudor but do want to stay at or under $4000 USD.

BB 32 or 36 in two tone
BB 32 or 36 with blue face on bracelet: Not two tone but she loves wearing watches on NATO straps.
1926 36 two tone
Nomos Duo Tangente - WR might be an issue.

Anything else I should be looking at?

I would personally choose BB36 Blue. Would prefer Black but Blue is also gr8.

BB36 Blue and if your wife gets bored of it or doesn’t get on with it you could always wear it.

For a little more can get a preowned mid sized (35mm) yachtmaster. But it's a bit more and preowned. Still though for someone wanting a sporty woman's watch it's a really great value.

My wife picked a 36mm tudor glamor (in steel with a black face diamond dial) date as her first mechanical watch. It served her well and was a really versatile GADA. She recently got a 40mm YM a few months ago and hasn't worn the tudor since..

Most of the threads asking these sort of questions say let your wife pick. Probably sage advice...
