Question:SD43

Hello,

I know the market has changed from how it was few years ago. However, I am wondering if any may be able to recommend an AD who may be able to offer good discount off MSRP for the SD43 126600. If you have any potential suggestions, you can send private message in case you do not want to put the AD in trouble.

Thanks much

No one will give you a discount on this. If you're lucky you will only have to wait a few months to get it.

Welcome to the forum. Why should you get a discount?

Get it from a trusted reseller here for same price (or less) than you would pay from an AD (list + tax).

As long as the demand for steel models is greater than the supply, do not expect a discount, a simple economic rule, we can rather expect a price increase.

My AD has a new rule: no discounts for any ss watch.
Up to 2 weeks ago they were giving discounts on ss OP and Datejusts.
Discounts still given for 2 tone, pm pieces.

Guys, give the OP a break. Nothing wrong to ask. Not everyone is wired up to the “rolex shortage crises”.

PS: lst year I got a 10% discount on my Explorer 1 when everyone was saying this is not possible.

You won’t find any discounts on stainless Rolexes right now (been this way for a while). Even finding a Sub, Seadweller, GMT, Daytona at an AD has become almost impossible.

Thought I got the short end of the stick that I paid full MSRP plus tax for my SD43. Until I saw everyone saying that you’re joking. Lol

No discount on sports steel. Several years ago it was 15% off the bat where I live but times have changed.

Discount? If you are lucky, you can find one in stock and pay MSRP; that's a good deal now days.

I had a chuckle.

When I got mine, I didn't bother asking, but perhaps I should've for giggles. Last time I did that the same AD told me they basically have people lined up waiting to buy it at MSRP.

I hoped for different replies but it seems that that market has changed a lot and even more with COVID

Thank you all

I nearly had a heart attack when I read the title of this thread considering I just paid full price. I did ask in the AD if they would discount but said no. No harm in asking...but deep down they know you will likely buy it anyway.

You can see how cynical we have become.... I wish you luck but discount isn't going to happen, consider a slightly pre-owned one from one of our trusted sellers if you want one right away or expect to pay a premium.

Yeah, I think MSRP is a discount, as the TRF sellers are pushing past $14+ for BNIB last I checked.

I’ve been trying to get on an AD waiting list in my area for well over a year. They are not taking new people and said they have “years” worth of names to fill based off of their previous years historical deliveries of the SD43. I couldn’t wait any longer and bought one on Chrono. I paid $1K over what it would have cost me at an AD plus sales tax. It had full stickers and bezel protector, and was absolutely perfect. I couldn’t be happier. I will have this watch for the rest of my life and will pass it down. The extra money paid to have it was worth it.
