Is the Explorer next to go to 41?
With the DJ, Sub and OP all moving to a larger size in the last few years, do we think the Explorer is next??
How does that sit with you? |

I hope not, but the dimensions need some work.

My guess is that it will. This will streamline all 3 models to use the same case but with different bezels.

I though about this too.... Along with the Milgauss and the AirKing. Makes sense on Rolex's end to reduce the number of cases they need to produce.
To be completely honest, I am up in the air on the size increase until I can try one on. On the flip side, the more I look at the OP, the more I feel put off with the double barton indicators at 3, 6 and 9, but the colors are fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Not likely - Explorer has to be a “smaller” then the Explorer 2 - tradition. EXP 2 is already 42 and if make EXP 2 larger (to accommodate for EXP increase) than this is the size of the SeaDewller ! It would be not in proportion for the EXP 2 to be too large.

I doubt it, explorer will probably remains at 39 as it already jumped from 36.

Just because the Sub went to 41mm, doesn't mean every other line is going that way... They will have watches in all sizes in order to cater for everyone's tastes.

i think Rolex will maintain the 39mm on Explorer. Today they have launched the OP41 and removed the OP39, hence there is a clear differentiation of the models and Explorer 39mm will stand on its own.
