I'm thinking about canceling my Daytona WG order ... 116519ln order

So, my AD initially said I could get a WG Daytona 116519ln in a few days. I put in a 50% deposit and he now says it could take months or a year. I'm thinking about canceling and getting a Patek 5205 white gold with blue dial. Thoughts? I really want a watch to celebrate my birthday and new job next month - mid October.

Well, if you made a deposit with a promise of getting the watch within a few days, then i would certainly ask for my money back!
Buy the watch you want and not whats available to meet a celebratory timeline

Agree, a watch should be a long term commitment so buy it wisely.

I would do it for 5960 1A-001, but not 5205.

No comparison. Not even close. And that’s one of my favorite Daytona’s.

But patek. Easy.

i mean those are 2 completely different watches that aren't comparable. as nice as the patek is it doesn't fit my lifestyle so i wouldn't wear it. go with what you're actually gonna wear

Lol, the AD straight lied to your face. I'd be getting my money back no matter what. And yes, I'd take a Patek over a Daytona.

Let me get this straight. Your AD said a few days. You give him @ 15k. Your Ad now says a year. Need I go any further.

OK...
I'd take that Patek anyway and I'm more of a Rolex fan.

Not a fan of that Patel personally. Think WG Daytona over this one.

A blue dial Patek annual calendar or a WG Daytona that will arrive god knows when, despite you having paid deposit and being told a few days? Is this a question. Patek.

Not giving an opinion on which watch to buy - but your AD straight up lied to you - so I would take that deposit back and find another AD.
