Anyone wear their Sub C on a strap to change it up?
I just recently picked up a sub with maxi case and ceramic bezel. Mine has the think lugs and I love them, but I’m wondering if it will look strange on a nato, leather, or rubber strap. I’ve seen some pics on Everest and they look nice, but I see far less of the others.
I know the older drilled lugs look great on straps, but what are your opinions about the maxi case on straps? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I actually love my fatty sub on the Everest. It’s the best option, short of an Oysterflex, IMO. I think the 114060 looks way less square on black rubber.
Not sure I’d put it on a NATO since it’s kinda thick as it is. The right leather strap could work, but it’d have to be pretty thick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have a Subc 114060. Love it, but I prefer it on the bracelet. I wear my Speedmaster on leather straps instead. That's how I change things up.

I definitely agree that the rubber looks fantastic. Curious if natos work with the shocker lugs. This model definitely moves far away from that vintage vibe.

Don’t have a strap on a sub C, somehow don’t see it working for my TT sub, but do use it on my 5 digit sub and my GMT C...

I’ve got mine on an Everest rubber strap, wears terrific, absolutely love it. The chunkyness of the watch and the thicker lugs go really well with the rubber strap....It saves the bracelet from getting really beat up too, I find it really comfortable....I’ve seen it on leather strap and don’t think it works at all.

When I dived on a regular basis in SoFLA in the 60’s & 70’s, I couldn’t afford a Sub. But the divers I knew who could used rubber straps, and I did too on my $29 no name dive watch.

While I think it looks better on the bracelet, I'm discovering that I like how divers wear better on rubber.
These are some great pics on this thread. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk |

I love my SubC. But it does not look good on straps. I keep it on bracelet now.

I only wear rubber straps, and the Sub is the first watch I have that didn’t come with it, so I put it on a RubberB and I really like the way it looks.
At the end of the day it’s a matter of personal taste, I get it if people don’t like it, but I don’t think it looks wrong at all. It’s a tool watch therefore it works on a strap. |

I ordered both to compare. Couldn't tell any difference in quality (both made in Switzerland)
The Everest has a slight sheen to it where the RubberB is more matte, which was more to my liking. I would recommend ordering both to compare for yourself (and return the other) since it's hard to see in pictures. |
