Two Tone not CHNR

Hi All

Do you think the tides will ever turn for two tone, not the CHNR but like the old two tone Daytona’s. I was looking at some and reading people hate these watches and steel is so popular do you think it will ever change or are two tone gold watches always going to be hated?

TT watches are increasingly popular...I tried to buy a Bluesy in June and could not find one at any AD. I ended up going grey. Daytona might be a different animal in TT but I think they are great...

Never understood the hate on TT. Rolex does TT very nicely. Other brands.... not so much.

Nothing wrong with TT, if you can wear gold in a watch go for it.

Buy what you like not what others tell you to buy and wear.

The most popular TT has to be the blue sub then comes the TT Black sub... then its the TT Daytonas. If you look at some of the secondary prices, TT Daytona has slowly gain traction.

I like TT and Rolex does them very well.
To me it seems they are pretty popular.

I've owned a TT Datejust on oyster for about 22 years, and I'm currently on the hunt for a Bluesy or Rootbeer.

The most popular TT Rolex is clearly the Datejust.

Exactly. And it's the only Rolex that arguably looks better in two-tone than in all steel.

Thanks all for comments. I just can’t bring myself to buy a £21k Daytona ceramic I keep thinking I could buy another watch and then two holidays or a new kitchen or something else. I would only spend that on all gold Rolex or full white gold.

I love a TT Daytona but like everything else these days, the prices have skyrocketed. Even these TT sell at or above MSRP with grey.

I think it relates to style trends; with time, things go in and out of style. I love my CHNR, like the TT SD43 and TT Sub and wouldn't turn down a Bluesy, but not much interested in TT Classics.

TT is very very very popular and has always been popular. Dont listen to guys on here who hate TT they are just guys that follow the sheep and jump on the SS bandwagon.

Outside of the Rolex forum its very popular with all age demographics even the young ones. If you look on social media plenty of rappers, basketball players, actors and anyone with influence rocking TT watches

I got a call last year for a TT Daytona black dial. I wanted SS but in person the TT is beyond great so I got it. First Rolex purchase was a big one!

Thanks all for your replies I am going to look at the TT Daytona’s I really want a Daytona but the steel prices are not worth the money for me. I saw some really nice pics of TT Daytona’s here some people have lovely examples.

I would wait on the TT Daytona, its just a matter of time they put a new ceramic bezel. If you want a TT should look hard at the CHNR rootbeer.

The gold bezel looks so good with the gold center links. While I am afraid you are right and will increase durability and popularity, I wouldnt necessarily dismiss the current one and it may even raise its demand

Who cares!! If TT tickles your brain, where it! Life is too short to worry what other think if they even notice.

I don't have data to corroborate so-called trends. It seems to me people are increasingly making up trends these days. All I know is I Iove my TT Bluesy.

Do not listen to wannabe influencers and even less to their followers. Free your mind and listen to yourself because only you know what's right for you.

I’ve got 3 2 tone watches.
Black face Daytona
White face Sky Dweller
And a Bluesy

All of them look incredible in person. And not one of my “watch” buddies like them. Also no other watch from non watch buddies, gets more compliments than my TT sky dweller. I think people in the TRF world just are trained to not like them. Those that have no idea, love them

Thanks all. I tried a CHNR and the tone and colours of it blended into my skin lol being brown so didn’t suit me. Yes I agree not to follow the trend I have an Airking and it is amazing but I know people hate it but I don’t mind at all. I will keep looking at the two tone Daytona’s.

I love my two tone Daytona! I wear it a number of different guises, as received or on different straps (leather too). Many like and love two tone watches. Many just follow the herd and really don't want to push the boundaries. Buy what you like and don't listen to what others say.

The steel/rose gold combination has breathed new life into the TT market. I had zero interest in TT until the CHNR and Datejusts came out in RG. Tones down the flashiness a little that many of us don't like with yellow gold
