New warranty cards any impact versus prior style?

Now that the new style warranty cards have had some
time to make their rounds and imbed, is there any benefit over the previous style?

I am thinking no, however does it make any difference in resale values or general desirability as a collector?

No idea or care about impact but I liked old cards with my name on them.

What is different about the new ones? Been a few years since my last purchase, I guess, I wasn't aware they had changed...

So does that mean from the link, that no name is linked to a watch now?

Not sure it ever was, it was just written on the card. I have an AD warranty card with my name, the SA scanned the tag, entered the date, swiped the card, transmitted over the credit card network, and never entered my name.

My AD told me on the last two I purchased is Rolex only knows that "somebody" purchased this watch on this day. that's it. no Name associated. Now my AD can tell who they sold it to with the card, but AD information is at the purchasing AD only. I.E. if you didn't buy it there, they can't tell you nothing except if it's still under warranty.

Interesting stuff. Doesn’t do much to help against flippers though.

If I am buying pre owned, I think the no name on the card helps the secondary market.

It will be great for buying grey/used. No more strangers name on your property, no ad name so the Rolex rep can’t see which ad is flipping stuff out the back door, just makes it easier for flippers n greys.
