"T" Serial Datejust 16234
Hello Everyone! Looking for some advice
I am looking to purchase my first rolex as a graduation gift to myself for graduating university next week. Wanted to hunt for a birth year (1995) watch for awhile now and I finally stumbled upon a potential option. -T serial 16234 black stick dial, WG bezel, jubilee, box and papers with service history I have checked many sources online, although none are 100% since dating is not disclosed by Rolex if I'm not mistaken, and T serial shows roughly 1996-1998. I was wondering if T serial can be made in 1995 I know the date shouldn't really matter but I just wanted it to be extra special knowing it is or can by my birth year. Thank you! |

"T" Serial Datejust 16234
That’s correct, no one knows with 100% certainty because these production details aren’t actually formally released by Rolex. Enthusiasts and collectors have pieced these things together through the years. But for what it’s worth, the guide I always use from Bobs watches places T serials at 96.
https://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-serial-numbers Could there be some variance and they actually start in 95, sure. But I don’t think there’s really a definitive answer. Your best bet may be to find a watch with original paperwork dating it to 1995. The production year might vary based on serial, but you’d have documentation with a 1995 date at the very least.
