New SubDate

A Perfect end to a weird week , I called in to my elderly parents last week just to check all was ok with them ,My father handed me his SD4K and said would you sell it I don’t need it anymore , Father has always had a nice watch as long as I can remember , I brought it home and couldn’t get it out of my head , after a little digging it seams he can’t read the date and it stopped twice recently ,He is 80 and has slowed down with some health issues , I decided it would be worth him trying the new SubDate, I called in my local , well the only one I will use and spoke with the owner about another watch and explained my issue . They managed to pull him one from this months allocation. My youngest son delivered it this afternoon and came home saying Grandad was really happy , I just had my Mum iMessage me saying Thanks for sorting Dad out he loves his new watch .he is really fiercely independent and you can’t really help him , to say I’m impressed is a understatement to make him happy means everything ❤️ He is a silly old sod at times , but still my old man.
Massively impressed and a very happy son tonight ! All those on here that say there is no point in building a relationship you are wrong ! .I have used the same guys for nearly 30 yrs .
Dads watches SubDate , Explorer2 42mm ,Black Daytona, SD4K, 41mm SubDate . My youngest has his first sub , My BIL has his Explorer, Black Daytona and SD4K are with me ,

That’s just awesome You handled this perfectly, because if you had asked first he’d have said a hard NO.

Congratulations to your dad and to you

Well played, good sir!

I think there is no better feeling than doing something nice for someone else. I get so much pleasure from doing that.
