Just Requested 126233-0021 (up to 6 months) wait)

So, after many months of deciding on which Rolex DJ to get, I requested a 36mm DJ in TT yellow gold, black shiny dial, and diamond hour markers.

AD said I'd be waiting up to 6 months for this piece! I thought only steel sports models were hard to get. What's going on with the datejusts?

I think and was told something along the lines of Rolex have been told to quote 5 months for any watch now to their AD’s. This was actually when I bought my datejust and it turned up in one week I think you’ll have it within a couple of months. :)

Interesting. I was told that Rolex doesn't tell ADs what watches it will send before doing so.
Does a request have any value?

Certain watches can be ordered. This would fit that profile, being a TT and black dial. I am surprised you can’t get one very quickly from the likes of Mayors. Drop me a pm because you’re in Miami and I will hook you up with an AD

I ordered a 31mm steel date just with a pink dial for my wife in January. Came in about a month. The AD said they can order most Datejusts, but obviously sport models are another story.

Thank you so much! Haven't updated profile on here, but I'm now based in NJ. Would this be a problem?

That seems a bit ridiculous. If you’re willing to go to NYC I have a relationship at one of the big ADs where they can order 36mm

Would you mind sharing your NYC AD? I'm looking for a similar watch and none of my ADs local to San Francisco are accepting orders.

I can confirm this. Just put an order in for a piece and was told 6 months, but a wink and a nod for 60-120 days.
