Icon10 THANK YOU Rolex Forum for making me enjoy my watch!

Well friends; as you know because of my posts (at least when I joined this great place) I used to have beater watches (2T sub, Omega Seamaster, Panerai Luminor Marina, etc.) and 'special occasion' watches (1803, 118238, etc).

When I joined this place, my YG watches were ment to be kept MINT. I mean M I N T; to the point of following some 'rules' such as only wearing them with short sleeves (to avoid long sleeve to even touch my watch), bathing the watch with lab grade distilled water after storing them back in the safe (which I still do) and on and on.

Well, after reading from my friends and understanding from my loving family that there are more important things to do and care about in life; I started to take care of my watches but actually enjoying them; this means wearing them (even with long sleeve shirts!!!).

Long story made short, I needed a break from havoc so we took a small time off to visit Sin City, and for the first time I wore my 118238 for 5 full days. After bathing the watch this morning and storing it back in the safety box, I discovered one thing: I ENJOYED this trip more than ever (watch-wise); I just had a blast. Great time with family and also with one of my grail watches.

For making me understand life is meant to be LIVED, T H A N K Y O U forum!

I'm glad that you had such a special trip Gerardo.

You're a cool dude with a lovely collection of scuffed watches.

Same for me here Gerardo, used to walk tensed everywhere, fearing of even the most microscopical scratch, until finally the lightning stroke me and I realized, it was made to be worn, scratches will come anyway and when it will be too scratched to bother me, it can be easily brushed/polished so unless we bang our watches into walls, we should wear them and enjoy them for being a great timepieces since in the end of the day, it's just a watch!
