Incoming

Not one to post incoming but I think this piece is underrated (but not under appreciated). It’s definitely an attainable piece from AD.

Its such a great piece that is much better in person than pix and I believe that's why it's been underappreciated as so many haven't been able to hold one in their own hands.

Enjoy it!

Congrats. Very nice and great wrist pic!

Quick question: is that a 24 hour dial or dual time, as in can you set that to a different time zone? Just curious.

It's a 24 hour indicator, not dual time.

Those who say dress watches are less sought after these days, are not looking in the right place. I wouldn't wear this to play tennis or chop wood. But jeans and a shirt and 5205G would work every day of the week, IMO.

The pic I posted does a pretty good job of showing how rich this piece is. The gradient from inner to outer dial is a bit harder to capture.

Thanks for the comments.

In my view, it is one of Patek's best. I think it will age very nicely. It is very unique among Patek's references and is not derivative in the least.

It’s a beauty, all right!
I received my 5205G-013 about a month ago, on the weekend of our Rolex AD’s opening of their new Patek boutique.
What dial did you get? I can’t quite make out the color on my little screen, and they ARE hard to photograph!
I especially like this reference because of how the windows are spread out on the upper half of the dial, and crunched together as in other PP’s. Much more legible!!
Wear this in good health, and may your kids not get it for many decades (!).

Here’s mine (if I can figure out how to do the photo trick!):

I guess I was wrong by the replies- seems that this piece is appreciated and revered as well.
