SubD41 in SS vs SubD41 in TT

Dear colleagues, what do You think and what would You buy: Sub in SS or in TT?
Each time I come back to the idea of buying a Sub, as the only watch for every day. Yes, I wear suits in 90% of cases))), but I don't want either DD or DJ… I don’t want GMT2 either, it seems Sub is more perfect... Friends, what version of Sub would you recommend to me and why?

Assuming its your first Rolex? Then SS all day long.

But if you already have a SS watch, then sure go for a TT if thats what you like.

I went hulk. Since no longer an option, I would go TT black.

The TT blue is is pretty, for sure, but like the black a tad more.

If going SS, I like the SD43 better.

Can’t wait to see what you choose.

SS would be a all around choice , dressy or casual. The TT is a beautiful watch . Good luck !!

New Bluesy 41 is a stunner the dial is quite something…but 124060 also a pretty perfect piece…

Agree on black TT Sub, and SD43 over black Sub as it's better looking, and the red line is very special. If you wear a suit most of the time the Sub would be better though as it's thinner than SD43.

Bluesy is a special watch. You can’t go wrong with either choice.

I am torn between the SSSD43 & TTSD43. The TT just puts a smile on my face. It is bold and certain. It is a really cool watch, but doesn’t seem to get much love. I would really like to have a Rolex on rubber, and the SS might handle rubber better visually.

Let me say this, if you think this will be your one and only, black sub might be the choice. But if you catch the bug, try to envision how your collection will evolve. There is no shortage of black sports watches, but Rolex does colors well.

This. You probably can’t go wrong with any sub.

I I could only own one sub it would be the TT black. Given you wear suits a lot even better. My vote TT black. Look at a late model five digit btw.

I have both, Black Submariner, and Bluesy.
I wear the Black Sub to work, to play, to lunches, to dinners, everywhere.
I wear my Bluesy to fun nights out, dinners.
If I could only have 1, it would be the Black Sub, just because it is more versatile.

TT Sub41 blue dial for me. The SS Sub41 is too versatile/ubiquitous/bland, doesn't feel special enough to me.

I know TT subs have their fans, (see above) but I’m not one.

IMHO the SS variants (black or green dial) and the WG (original 116619) are the subs to own.

Just cleaner looking, and more versatile.

Had a bluesy but sold it. It looked amazing and I dreamed of having one for years. But after I bought one, I found myself being way too self conscious about it being too blingy. I run in circles where literally none of my friends have a Rolex and I'm a pretty casual guy. I just felt it was over the top, but that's just me. I sold it and bought a new 126610LN and couldn't be happier.

I'd go with TT because it dresses up and down easily. Looks as good in a suit as it does in shorts.

Because you said suits I think a tt will work better. There is a strange dressy elegance to the black tt. I love mine.

I prefer steel over TT in almost every situation. Appreciate TT just not for me.
