LA Jewelry Center

I’m down here for my TSA Interview.

Thousands of watches at the grey market prices we see, maybe slightly less.

I’m in the market for a few models. What are your favorite stores here in the jewelry district? I saw a few Bluesy and DD Like. And one place offered me $45k for my 116500. Obviously I wear it, and have box and papers. I had to ask him 5 times “are you sure that’s what you pay me and not what you ask as a selling price. I don’t think I want to sell it, but damn that was a real conversation.

that means there are people out there buying a used Daytona for $47-48k+
what dial color do you have?
it'd be very tempting

Gotta say I’d sell it in a heartbeat at that price!

I wouldn’t sell! Unless I’m going to do something much better with the extra money, like buying a property.

I would go back and see what watch the dealer who offered 45k had that I was interested in. I would leverage it into a PM Daytona, if possible, DD or PM Submariner.

I'd sell it and put a deposit on an investment property.

I know I'd rather add property to my portfolio than wearing a stupid damn watch. Even though I love watches. LOL

They had some intriguing pieces - a smurf 116618LB with the flat blue dial. And a DDII.

But I’ve got a special incoming DD40 WG meteorite diamonds

If you are DTLA, checkout Stein Diamonds and ask for joseph. They always have a killer/VERY rare pieces selection and great prices. With no sleazy salesmen.

Be careful around there, I used to live in DTLA. There are some seriously shady, nasty people on the prowl in that part of downtown. Not the homeless, they're the kind of people who prey on the homeless. And they'll prey on anyone who shows signs of having a nice watch, camera, etc. The DTLA Historic Core and the fringes around it are disgusting.
