advice on explorer purchase.

local dealer (AD) has a d serial explorer-36mm.....sitting in the case...he offered it to me for 4000.00. (im thinking more like 3500.00)I think thats still a little high for such an old watch! am I being crazy bc of the deals Im getting in the used and grey markets?? its a pre-increase watch, correct?

The D case date stamp is from April 2005 till May 2006 could be even later to arrive at AD,and it will be exactly the same watch as one with the latest case stamp.Watches don't go off and if bought from AD you will get exactly the same warranty as every new watch bought from a AD.But agree there could be some room for your bargaining skills to get a bit of discount.
